Isabel Pérez Palerm Sobre mí

About me

Getting to know me better.

I am Isabel Pérez, I live in Ibiza (Spain) and I started my professional career as a freelance translator five years ago. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting with a major in Publishing Translation at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2016. The languages I studied were English, as the main foreign language, and Japanese. Afterward, in 2017, I took a Master’s Degree in Editing/Publishing at the same university. Since then, I have continued my education by taking courses in revision and other related fields to keep up to date with the industry and improve as a professional.

The languages I mainly work with are English, German, Spanish, and Catalan, being the last two my native languages. During my career, I have worked on a large number of different projects, providing my services both to agencies and direct clients from different countries, especially from the United States. My fields of expertise are editorial, corporate, and educational texts and courses.

I am also a professional member of Asetrad, the Spanish Association of Translators, Proofreaders, and Interpreters.

Questions and answers.

Once I receive the information about the project or service you need, I will send you a final, non-binding quote within 24 hours. I will inform you of the price, payment terms and delivery date. If you agree with the quote and it meets your requirements, you will have to send me a written confirmation and pay 50% of the quote in advance. Once I receive the payment confirmation, I will start working on your project.
On the agreed delivery date, I will send you the document and the final invoice by email. I will be available to answer any questions or doubts you may have as well as to make any modifications or polishing the final result if needed. Quality and customer satisfaction are always my main goal.

Each document is different and there are many factors involved when creating a quote. Broadly speaking, translators estimate the costs based on the type of service requested by the client, source and target language of the translation, complexity of the text, format of the text and urgency of the assignment.

Generally, translations are charged on the basis of the number of words in the original text, whereas proofreading is usually charged per the hours spent on the task. In any case, do not worry, I will provide all the information in the quote and I will try to answer any questions you may have before starting the assignment.

Because I am passionate about my job and I always strive to achieve the highest level of satisfaction possible in whatever I do. I consider myself a
professional, hard-working and a perfectionist and I am determined to make sure your project meets your expectations.
I acquired academic qualifications and have trained professionally to guarantee the quality of my work. I continue to take courses and keep up to date with the changing industry and the emerging technologies.
