I translate mainly from English and German into Spanish and Catalan, my native languages. I also have some knowledge of Japanese. Professional translators always try to translate into their native languages. However, I can also help you if you need to translate a text into English or German. I will ensure that a professional native-speaker linguist proofreads the translated text.
If you need a translation into another language or any other service you cannot find specified on the website, such as interpreting, please contact me as I will try to refer you to a reliable colleague.

To any individual or company that may need them, whether you want to translate a text for your website, a document for your business, or you simply want to be sure that the content you post on your social media is error-free and flows naturally.

The specific areas which I have the most experience and expertise in are editorial/publishing texts, corporate communication and training and learning content. Please find more details below:

  • Corporate communication: Company policies and codes, performance and feedback surveys, onboarding guides, employee announcements, emails, and other HR or business-related documents.
  • Editorial/Publishing texts: Articles in magazines, blog posts, books, texts for websites or social networks, newsletters, etc.
  • Learning: Training playbooks and manuals, e-learnings, toolboxes, and user guides on a range of topics such as DE&I, well-being, ethics, compliance, safety, etc.
  • Instructional texts: User manuals or help guides for software, applications, or any other marketed products such as house appliances.
  • Marketing texts: Product descriptions for online sales or texts for websites.

However, even if the document you want to translate or proofread does not fall into any of these categories, you can contact me and I will see if I can help you and take care of your project.

Please be specific and provide as much information as possible about your project:
– Do you need a translation, a proofreading or any other type of language service?
– What language is the original document written in and what language do I need to translate it into?
– How many words does the source document have? I would appreciate if you could send me the document directly when asking for a quote, so that I can have a look at it right from the start. It will be easier for me to tailor the quote and confirm that I can take care of it with the quality it deserves.
– Who is the target audience and which is the purpose of the translation?
– Do you want to keep the same document format?
– Do you need the translation by a specific date?
– Do you have any other special requirements?

Once I receive the information about the project or service you need, I will send you a final, non-binding quote within the next 24 hours. I will inform you of the price, payment terms and delivery date. I will also ask you for any other information I might need. If you agree with the quote and it meets your requirements, you will have to send me a written confirmation, either by email or by signing the quote, send it back to me, and pay 50% of the quote in advance. Once I receive the payment confirmation, I will start working on your project. On the agreed delivery date, I will send you the document and the final invoice by email. From that moment, you will have a 15-day period to pay the rest of the amount pending. I will be available to answer any questions or doubts you may have as well as to make any modifications or polishing the final result if needed. Quality and customer satisfaction are always my main goal.

This question is not easy to answer, as each document is different and there are many factors involved when creating a quote. Broadly speaking, translators estimate the costs based on the type of service requested by the client (translation, proofreading, quality assurance task…), source and target language of the translation, complexity of the text (general subject or specific field), format of the text and whether the client wants to keep it or not (Word, pdf, image…) and urgency of the assignment. Generally, translations are charged on the basis of the number of words in the original text, whereas proofreading is usually charged per the hours spent on the task. The price will also differ depending on whether it is a translation or a post-editing project, a proofreading or a final check/quality assurance job. In any case, do not worry, I will provide all the information in the quote and I will try to answer any questions you may have before starting the job so that you can bea sure that you are in good hands.

Yes, to make sure that I am the right person to help you with your project, I should first examine the text you want to translate or proofread it. Even if you tell me the number of words or pages and the type of text, I will not be able to give you more details about delivery dates, approximate prices, etc. until I have a look at it. The best thing is to send the text directly, so that you will receive a fixed quote, with no last minute surprises.

Yes, translations are subject to 21% VAT if the client resides in Spain. Additionally, please note that if you are self-employed or the job is for a company, the invoice will also be subject to 15% IRPF (Personal Income Tax).

Yes, the minimum rate for short projects (less than 300 words) is 30 euro and additional charges may apply if the job request is urgent. I apply this rate because, however short a text may be, there is much more work than simply translating words. You need to be well-informed about the subject  and the specific terminology, you need to review the text carefully once it has been translated and ensure that all expectations are met.

Either by bank transfer or PayPal. Remember that you will have to pay 50% of the quote in advance and the rest within 15 days after I deliver the project to you.

Because I am passionate about my job and I always strive to achieve the highest level of satisfaction possible in whatever I do. I consider myself a professional, hard-working and perfectionist person and I am determined to make sure your project meets your expectations.
